Founded in 1865, Washburn University has begun the recognition of its sesquicentennial, coming to an end in 2015 when the University celebrates its 150th anniversary. The historic campus features Yager Stadium, where the Ichabods play their home football games and the Lady Blues play soccer; Lee Arena where the Ichabods and Lady Blues play basketball and the Lady Blues play volleyball; Falley Field where the Ichabods play baseball; the WU Softball Complex where the Lady Blues play softball; and the WU Tennis Complex where the Ichabods and Lady Blues play their outdoor tennis matches. Indoor tennis matches and Ichabods golf tournaments are held off campus.
